Pump and dump

Tonight I had three glasses of wine. No judgement, I honestly just forgot how much I enjoy a nice red wine. So, I pumped and dumped. I know you don’t have to. Your breast milk, like your blood, doesn’t remain alcholicy. However, I would have to feed Calvin a bottle for his dream feed. I will feed Calvin a bottle when he wakes up around 2 for peace of mind. So the next time I’ll nurse will be around 5 or 6am. If I didn’t pump and dump it would have been 10-11 hours between nursing sessions. In addition to being super uncomfortable, my bed likely would be soaked with leaked breast milk. So as painful as it is to pour milk down the drain, it isn’t physical pain.

I will likely still be busting at the seams for our morning feed, but hopefully not as uncomfortable.
